Rules and Regulations for 50/50 Raffle in Florida
Participants must be 18 years or older to purchase a 50/50 Raffle ticket.
Unauthorized persons copying, selling, or altering tickets are subject to prosecution.
A 50/50 Raffle ticket will be void and no prize will be awarded if there is proof that the ticket was stolen, unissued, ineligible, altered, counterfeit in whole or in part, defective, printed in duplicate or printed/production in error.
50% of net proceeds will be awarded to one person. The winner does not need to be present to win. The winning number will be chosen at random from all numbers sold up until and on the end date/time for each raffle, from the KET Office located at 400 N. Tampa St., 15th Floor, Tampa, Fl 33602. The winning number will be posted online at www.kidseventtickets.com under Fundraising/Raffles.
The winner must redeem their prize within 30 days following the raffle. A winning ticket may be redeemed by calling Kids Event Tickets @ 716.310.5039. If prize is not claimed within the allotted time, proceeds will be donated to the sponsoring charities; KET and Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.
The prize will be paid to the winner by check via mail or by in-person presentation by Charity representatives - KET, Dean Gallagher and Gronk Nation Youth Foundation - Rob Gronkowski at a mutually agreed upon date and time.
Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. As such, in order for the individual with the winning ticket to claim their winnings, they must fill out the proper paperwork/tax forms to claim prize.
For U.S. Persons - Any amount won that equals or exceeds $600 US; the winner must fill out a W-9 tax form and provide one proper form of identification (Driver's License, Social Security Card, Voters Registration, or some other form of picture ID). If a Tax Payer Identification Number (i.e. Social Security Number) is not provided on the W-9, a backup withholding of 28% of the winner's proceeds will be taken and submitted to the IRS on behalf of the winner.
Any amount over $5,000; winner must fill out a W-2G and will have 24% held for IRS withholdings. Paperwork will be given to winner for taxes/tax professional.
For Foreign Persons - A 1042 tax form must be filled out and a backup withholding rate of 30% on the winner's proceeds will be taken and submitted to the IRS on behalf of the winner.
The designated 50/50 Raffle ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize. Kids Event Tickets is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets or tickets redeemed in error by its agents.
All tickets, transactions, and winners associated with the 50/50 Raffle are subject to state law and the rules, regulations, and procedures put in place by Kids Event Tickets at 400 N. Tampa St. 15th Fl., Tampa, FL 33602 and the lawful changes thereof. Registration and financial information for Kids Event Tickets may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free (800-435-7352) within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the state.
By obligation of Florida State law, no purchase or contribution is necessary to enter the drawing. Free Ticket may be picked up at KET office at 400 N. Tampa St, 15th Floor, Tampa FL. 33602. (One ticket per valid photo ID) Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $10 for 20 tickets and $20 for 87 tickets.
